REGENT’S PARK TOGETHER

Regent’s Park Together is a community-led initiative to tackle the cost of living crisis together, led by a group of local charities and residents as Community Champions Regent’s Park.

COMMUNITY KITCHEN

In 2022, to help people through the cost of living crisis, we teamed up with local organisations and residents to provide a ‘warm welcome’ space with activities and food, where local residents could come together in a safe and warm space.

Regent’s Park Community Champions started Community Kitchen over 6 dates in December 2022, at ODAC and Surma Centre as a response to the cost of living crisis. 300+ free hot meals cooked by local businesses were given each day, alongside arts activities from Sankofa Storytelling Arts, films, and a relaxed social space to hang out.

Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA), Bengali Workers’ Association (Surma Centre), The Euston Partnership, Camden’s Detached Youth Team, and local residents as Community Champions Regent’s Park came together to produce Regent’s Park Together with funding from the Camden Cost of Living Response Fund.

From February 2024, the Community Kitchen will be a monthly celebration, beginning with a Community Iftar on March 27th.
